Microsoft Turns 50: Bill Gates Marks Microsoft’s 50th With Humour and Heartfelt Memories

As Microsoft celebrated its 50th anniversary, co-founder Bill Gates went to Instagram to share beautiful memories from the company's early years. He shared a nostalgic reel featuring old images, saying "Unfortunately, I'll never feel cool again because this was me in the early Microsoft days." Gates, back on the past, sarcastically referred to the photographs as instances from "awkward photo shoots."

Gates, who ran Microsoft as CEO until 2000, also sent a birthday greeting: "Happy 50th birthday, @microsoft. Thank you for the memories—and the awkward photo shoots." The celebration went beyond the emotions, with a lighthearted digital reunion of Gates, the previous CEO Steve Ballmer, and current CEO Satya Nadella. The trio had a lively conversation, assisted by Microsoft's AI assistance, Copilot.

Nadella pushed Copilot to skewer the tech lagends, resulting in some amusing exchanges. Gates got a humorous punch: "Do you ever think the AI might feel intimidated by your intense-thinking face?" Gates laughed and said, "That's all I've got left as these AIs get so damn intelligent."

The hilarity flowed effortlessly, with Ballmer joining in and Copilot raising a virtual toast, "Here's to another 50 years of innovation and adventure." Gates concluded with a grin, "Whatever that means to an AI. Does it drink?"

The anniversary established an ideal blend between technological heritage and futuristic pleasure.
