Week-long operation leads to arrest of 15 cyber fraud suspects by Cyberabad Police across states
Cyberabad Police arrested 15 people in 11 cybercrime cases, seizing phones, cards, and documents, while urging the public to stay alert against online scams, verify transactions, and report fraud via 1930 or the cybercrime portal.

In the context of 11 cybercrime cases that occurred between July 29 and August 4, 2025, the Cyberabad Police's cybercrime department has made 15 arrests. A network of scammers operating in several Indian states has been exposed by this operation.
Nine of the events reported that week involved suspects in trading fraud cases, including 12 of the 15 people arrested. Two suspects in a gaming scam and one suspect in a commercial fraud were connected to the other arrests.
Numerous pieces of evidence were found by the police during the operation, including four proprietorship stamps, 13 SIM cards, eight debit cards, an Aadhaar card, a PAN card, and fourteen mobile phones. It has been claimed that these products were utilised in a number of frauds.
The public has been strongly warned by police officials about online scams, particularly those that promise abnormally high returns through trading and investing schemes. Whether it's for investments, purchases, or services, they emphasised how crucial it is to confirm every financial transaction before giving money to anyone.
People have also been cautioned by authorities to use their personal information very carefully. Fraudsters frequently pose as officials, business representatives, or even friends in an attempt to obtain information such as passwords, bank account information, or Aadhaar numbers.
Another crucial caution is to never click on suspicious links that are delivered to you by email, SMS, or messaging apps. These links may take users to phishing websites that steal financial and personal information.
Anyone should report cyber fraud right away by dialling 1930 or going to the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal if they believe they have been the victim of it. Authorities may be able to recover stolen funds and act quickly with prompt reporting.
The prompt action taken by the Cyberabad Police in these cases serves as a reminder that although cybercrime is becoming a bigger danger, people may guard against being victims of online frauds by being aware of the risks and exercising caution.
