NotebookLM Just Got Smarter – Multilingual AI Podcasts & Web-Sourced Content Are Here!
Google’s NotebookLM now supports AI podcast generation in 50+ languages, with new interactive features and web content integration.

Google has released a huge update to their popular AI tool, NotebookLM, which considerably expands its language capabilities. NotebookLM was originally recognised for generating realistic, human-like AI podcasts (also known as Audio Overviews) in English, but it can now make these podcasts in over 50 languages, including Hindi, French, Japanese, Portuguese and many more.
This update allows users to make AI podcasts in their choice language, independent of the language used in the supplied content. To change languages, users just navigate to Settings in their NotebookLM project, choose "Output language", select the desired language from the drop-down menu, and click "Save". NotebookLM will then create the podcast in the desired language.
This multilingual support is based on Gemini's built-in multimodal capabilities, which enable the platform to offer accurate and natural-sounding audio material in several languages. Users have reported excellent outcomes when creating podcasts in non-English languages, making the tool even more useful for global audiences.
In addition to language support, Google has lately added features to improve the user experience. NotebookLM now allows listeners to engage with AI podcast hosts, making the experience more immersive and engaging. Users can also improve their notebooks by adding live online sources—just explain what information you require, and NotebookLM will retrieve and integrate the most appropriate content.
These enhancements establish NotebookLM as a powerful content-creation tool for creators, educators, and professionals worldwide.
