Microsoft Introduces AI-Driven Tools in Paint and Enhanced Windows Search in Latest Windows 11 Update

Microsoft has released a new Windows 11 Insider Preview build, which includes AI-powered updates to the Paint app and Windows Search. The update, which is accessible to Windows Insider users on the Canary and Dev channels, includes sophisticated capabilities aimed at improving creativity and search performance.

One of the most significant upgrades is the integration of AI technologies into Microsoft Paint via a new Copilot menu. Cocreator allows users to create AI-based images from doodling, while *Image Creator* converts text to images in a variety of artistic styles. The Generative Erase tool effortlessly removes undesired objects from photographs by filling in backgrounds, while the Remove Background feature eliminates backgrounds with a single click. These tools are now simply organized in the Copilot menu, improving user accessibility.

Windows Search has also been updated with increased semantic indexing for OneDrive files, enabling for more intuitive and efficient searches using natural language. However, this capability is limited to Copilot+ PC users.

Microsoft's continual AI-driven enhancements demonstrate the company's dedication to making Windows 11 more user-friendly and inventive. While these changes are now only available to Insider Preview users, they represent a larger attempt to integrate AI throughout Microsoft's ecosystem. The global release timeline for these features has yet to be announced.
