AI Evolution Continues: Google Introduces Gemini 2.0 Pro Experimental, Pushing the Boundaries of AI Performance
Google quietly launched Gemini 2.0 Pro Experimental, its latest AI model, offering improved coding and math capabilities. Available to Gemini Advanced users, it remains in early preview.

By revealing its newest AI model, Gemini 2.0 Pro Experimental, through a straightforward changelog update for its Gemini chatbot software, Google has adopted a low-key strategy. This model replaces Gemini 1.5 Pro, which was released in February, and is intended to provide improved performance in mathematical and coding activities as well as increased factual accuracy.
The debut coincides with DeepSeek, a Chinese AI firm that is upending American tech heavyweights in the field of AI development with its cutting-edge models. In response, Google's Gemini 2.0 Pro Experimental is only available to Gemini Advanced users who have Google Workspace add-ons and the Google One AI Premium membership.
Google claims that this methodology is perfect for statistical models, quantum algorithms, and sophisticated coding projects, enabling people to solve complex issues more quickly. However, because it is currently in early preview, users can encounter mistakes and unexpected behaviors. Furthermore, it isn't compatible with all of the Gemini app's functions and doesn't have real-time data access like other Gemini models do.
In addition to this release, Google has made Gemini 2.0 Flash, which was unveiled in December, the default AI model for all users in the Gemini app. The business highlights its dedication to quick AI innovation.
