GAIL (India) Limited inaugurated Cyber Security Awareness Month 2025 in New Delhi, promoting Cyber Jagrit Bharat and reinforcing its commitment to digital safety, cybersecurity awareness, and infrastructure protection across the organization.

GAIL (India) Limited has officially inaugurated Cyber Security Awareness Month (CSAM) 2025 at its office in New Delhi.The entire program aims to raise awareness about the increasing significance of cybersecurity in today's rapidly evolving digital environment.

Shri R. K. Jain, Director (Finance), GAIL, started off the event, which was attended virtually by employees from several sites across India. While addressing the audience, he highlighted this year's theme, "Cyber Jagrit Bharat," which was proposed by the National Security Council Secretariat.  He emphasised the importance of collective responsibility in protecting India's essential infrastructure, particularly GAIL's SCADA systems, which play a significant role in managing gas distribution networks. Shri Jain also emphasised that cybersecurity is not only the responsibility of the IT department or management, but also of all employees. He explained that cyber awareness is critical for safeguarding sensitive information and operating systems against potential threats.

GAIL is working to strengthen its cybersecurity architecture through a variety of proactive initiatives.These include the construction of Security Operations Centres (SOCs), specialised training programs, and improved IT and OT (Operational Technology) integration to enable a robust defence against cyber threats. 

The official start also included an interactive session given by a recognised cybersecurity expert, providing the foundation for an instructive and action-packed month.Throughout October, GAIL will provide workshops, knowledge-sharing sessions, and fun competitions for employees and families.The goal is to promote a better understanding of cyber threats and remind everyone to practice safe digital habits in both their personal and professional lives. With CSAM 2025, GAIL underlines its allegiance to creating a Cyber Aware India, which aligns with the national aim of promoting digital safety, resilience, and awareness in all sectors.
