ChatGPT on WhatsApp Now Analyzes Images and Voice Messages in Latest AI Update

OpenAI has improved its ChatGPT integration on WhatsApp, allowing users to communicate via images and voice messages. The AI chatbot, which was initially unveiled in December 2024 with text-only functionality, can now evaluate visual and audio inputs while still responding only in text.  

Android Authority said that the global upgrade allows WhatsApp users to upload photos and audio files to ChatGPT for examination. Users can utilize this functionality by storing the official ChatGPT number +1-800-242-8478, relaunching WhatsApp, and starting a discussion. The chatbot can describe images, extract information, and transcribe voice messages with high accuracy, even in languages like Hindi.  

However, the functionality is still in its early stages and contains several peculiarities. For example, ChatGPT occasionally combines new and old talks, responding to new questions with details from prior discussions. Despite this, it remains user-friendly and efficient in processing text, image, and voice searches.  

In addition to this update, OpenAI is apparently working on allowing WhatsApp users to sign into their ChatGPT accounts, allowing for data syncing and conversation continuity. In addition, OpenAI recently released the Deep Research mode, built for multi-step online research, and the Operator AI agent, which can browse and interact with web pages autonomously.  

These developments signal a significant stride in AI-powered communication, boosting user comfort while bridging the gap between text-based and multimodal interactions.
