Adobe Unveils Firefly AI Video Generator for Public Use, Offering Secure and High-Quality Video Creation
Adobe has launched its Firefly AI video generator in public beta, offering commercially safe video creation with 1080p resolution and advanced editing tools.

Adobe has officially launched its Firefly AI video model, making it available to all customers via the Firefly web app. The program, which was announced on February 12, is now in public beta and claims to be the first "commercially safe" AI video creator. It is accessible through the Generate Video (beta) tool on Firefly and Generative Extend (beta) in Adobe Premiere Pro.
The Firefly video model is part of Adobe's Firefly suite, which also includes Firefly Image 2 for image generation and Firefly Vector Model for vector graphics. It allows users to generate 1080p video clips from text prompts or images, apply camera angles, create 3D sketches, and design custom motion elements. Adobe is also developing a lower-resolution model for rapid iteration and a 4K AI model for professional production.
To ensure transparency, videos created using Firefly include Content Credentials and adhere to the standards for watermarking AI-generated content. Adobe, a leading partner in the Coalition for material Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA), allows users to check AI-generated material using its Inspect tool.
Adobe has developed Firefly Standard and Pro subscriptions, which provide tiered pricing depending on video/audio credits and content development restrictions. The Standard plan begins at Rs 797.68/month, while the Pro plan costs Rs 7,986/month. A Premium plan will be available soon for users with greater content development requirements.
Firefly is now integrated with Adobe Creative Cloud apps such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Express, allowing professionals to increase their creative options.
